JEFFERSON R-7 FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT

The Jefferson R-7 Fire Protection District employs Full-Time, Part-Time (On-Call/As needed) and Volunteer (Paid per Call) members who serve at the discretion and leisure of the Board of Directors upon recommendation of the Fire Chief.

Part-Time (On-Call/As needed)

     *Firefighter - this position is filled based on District needs as determined by the Fire Chief. This position is primarily used to fill daily staffing vacancies as needed*

Volunteer (Paid per Call) 

•     Firefighter

•     Probationary Firefighter (Recruit)

Applicants must be 18 years or older. Successful applicants must pass a Criminal Background Check through the Missouri State Highway Patrol, drug screen, and a physical examination by a licensed physician. The district will train new Firefighters who have no or limited experience during their probationary period and offers district paid training opportunities upon completion of the probationary period. All structural firefighting gear is provided by the District.

Full-time applicants must be certified as Missouri Firefighter 1 & 2, Missouri Hazmat Awareness & Operations, and Missouri EMT-B or EMT-P.

All Volunteer and Part-time Firefighters are highly encouraged to run District alarms when available subject to district response policy and procedures.
